You are buying a vintage new/unused full color U.S. Air Forcepatch(measures 3\" in diameter with silver tinsel threading and a cheesecloth type backing on the reverse side)from the 1st Airborne Command & Control Squadron (1 ACCS), that\'s located at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
This patch is from the late 1970s to mid-1980s when the 1 ACCS operated the Boeing E-4B Advanced Airborne Command Post for \"Nightwatch\" missions under the Strategic Air Command or SAC. The E-4B aircraft are specifically used for the National Emergency Airborne Command Post (NEACP) program.
Currently, the E-4B aircraft are still performing \"Nightwatch\" missions under the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), the successor to SAC.
