1947 HB Book with map that unfolds and is attached inside the back cover.
Book is titled U.S. NAVAL AVIATION IN THE PACIFIC. 1947. Book is 55 pages and was issued by the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. Lots of photos and information related to Naval Aviation in WWII. Book has some fading and light stains on the cover, inside is mostly good with some normal aging showing.
The cool part is the map attached in the back. Map is in great condition. It unfolds to 13\" x 16\" and is marked THE WAR AGAINST JAPAN - THE ADVANCE ACROSS THE PACIFIC AND THE SITUATION ON 14 AUGUST 1945. There is a legend that includes a symbol for \"ATOMIC BOMB TARGETS\" and then you see those symbols on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
