VINTAGE ORIGINAL WRIGLEY’S SPEARMINT GUM WRAPPER & UNITED PROFIT SHARE COUPON For Sale

Some history on this item This image features a vintage United Profit-Sharing Corporation coupon. These items functioned like early trading stamps (similar to Sperry & Hutchinson Green Stamps), distributed inside product packaging during the 1920s and 1930s.Historical ContextThe Program: The United Profit-Sharing Corporation was headquartered in New York. They contracted with various manufacturers—most famously the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company for chewing gum—as well as consumer brands like Swift & Company and Worcester Salt.Redemption: Consumers saved these printed slips and could trade them at designated premium stations or via mail for household merchandise listed in a specialized catalog.Face Value: The coupon text highlights a tiny nominal cash valuation (e.g., "Cash Value 4 Mills" or "2 Mills") to satisfy historical legal rules regarding trading vouchers. A "mill" is a tenth of a cent.
