Incredible New Old Stock (NOS) Vintage 1977 Philippine Capiz Shell 3-Tier Waterfall Chandelier.
••This is a museum-quality time capsule. This massive, 8-foot cascading Capiz shell chandelier has been untouched in its original wooden shipping crate since 1977. It is still packed in the original Philippines Daily Express newspaper dated March 2, 1977—providing undeniable provenance and proof of age.
Because it has never been hung or exposed to the elements, it has zero yellowing, heavy dust, or environmental wear that plagues most vintage shell fixtures.
••DETAILS:
Total Drop Length: Approx. 8 Feet (96 inches) of cascading, translucent natural shells.
•Design: Rare 3-Tier "Pouf" / Clustered Dome structure with visible vintage wireframe top.
•Origin: Made in the Philippines (Packed March 1977).
•Condition: New Old Stock (NOS). The shells are pristine, translucent, and create a softly diffused warm glow alongside a gentle chime in the breeze.
DESIGNER APPEAL:
The 3-tier clustered design breaks up the massive length, giving it an architectural, high-end look compared to standard straight-strand chandeliers. It is the ultimate statement piece for a two-story entryway, vaulted cathedral ceiling, or open stairwell. Perfect for high-end Coastal, Boho Chic, Hollywood Regency, and 70s luxury revivals.
CONDITION NOTES:
Because this is a 1977 vintage electrical item that has been sitting in a crate for nearly 50 years, the original wiring should be inspected or rewired by a professional before installation to meet modern building codes. A few strings may need simple re-tying due to the age of the original vintage line, which is standard for NOS shell items.
