Presenting a stunning vintage footed and handled wine goblet masterfully hand crafted and signed by the renowned Australian silversmith Don Sheil, founder of Sheil Abbey. Crafted in 1978, this is a superb early example of this renowned artists' work and the design is no longer in production!The exterior of this stylishly shaped goblet is beautifully decorated with a boldly etched rugged texture. The recesses of the pattern have been darkened adding fabulous definition to the organically-inspired brutalist design.The rugged textured finish magnificently accentuates the glistening sparkle of the silver-toned metal while adding a wonderfully appealing tactile element to the design.This piece is crafted from Don Sheil's unique metal alloy blend which is more durable and functional than silver but glistens with the same sparkling silver tones.The interior of the vessel has a glistening rose gold coloured finish which beautifully contrasts the exterior and adds superb depth to the balanced form.The base is covered in black coloured rubber to protect the surface of your furniture.SIZE: This piece stands 95mms tall, measures 80mms in diameter at the top rim and 105mms in width including the handle.CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition with no breaks, losses, dents or repairs. This fine example has been very well cared for and present spectacularly.MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed and dated to the lower side of the cup with an engraved "Don Sheil 78" signature.
