VINTAGE DARK GREEN METAL TOLE-LIKE FLORAL PRINT WASTEBASKET GARBAGE CAN For Sale

Very pretty vintage (likely 1950s) metal wastebasket or garbage can. There is no maker's mark anywhere that I can find. The decoration looks like the popular hand-painted toleware of the period but is actually a floral print! The background color is a forest green and the floral is pink, blue, yellow and more shades of green. This can is oval-shaped and 13" tall, 9" wide and 7 1/4" deep, and it sits on 4 little feet (although not perfectly flush, just a little bit wobbly as the metal probably warped slightly over time). The inside is very chippy and rusty, but the outside has just the right amount of scuffs and scratches to make it look "vintage." There is a dent on the lower left side if you are facing the can, but you really have to look for it because the pattern is so busy. Also, it looks like the rim was gold at one time but that is mostly faded as well. Still a charming old piece! I love these old metal cans and use them in every bathroom and bedroom, because it's tough to find a nice-looking wastebasket!
