Beautiful vintage Mexican slip-cast clay rooster figurine, circa 1970s. This piece belonged to my grandmother, and I remember it being in her home when I was a little girl in the 1970s, so it has been in our family for approximately 50 years or more.It is made of unglazed clay with a soft ivory/cream matte finish and wonderful molded detail throughout the feathers, comb, body, legs and foliage.The underside retains a faded “MEXICO” stamp.Approximately 8” long × 7” tall.
