VF+ EARLY vtg Stanley 1”x 13"OAL 720 style Bevel edge LONG chisel w/Orig handle For Sale

One of the finest Stanley long chisels that I've ever offered. I've included plenty of photos to help you see all features clearly. This is an early pre-numbers 720 style - it is my LAST (and BEST) antique Stanley of this type & age. The handle features the early shade of classic Stanley Red Handle 700-Series chisels - one of several known shades over the decades - it has the deep rich mahogany red shade (color) on the hickory. I prefer to keep the original finish intact on these early Stanley hickory "Red Handle" chisels whenever possible, and this case was a no-brainer. So I only did very minimal restoration on this example; fresh dye/oil the leather cap to preserve it; plus, a very light clear coat of high-grade waxless shellac was used to encapsulate the original lacquer finish, to protect and preserve it, and keep it from chipping or peeling. The handle has a few dings as pics show, and I think they actually add some nice character to the aging of the tool overall.
