Puzyrkov Viktor Grigoryevich (1918–1999)

Born in Dnipropetrovsk (Yekaterinoslav). He studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Art School (1936–1938) and at the Kyiv Art Institute (1938–1942), where his instructors included K. Eleva, V. Kostetsky, F. Krichevsky, A. Shovkunenko, N. Panin, and S. Gerasimov; at the Moscow Art Institute (1942–1943) in Samarkand; and again at the Kharkiv Art Institute (1944–1946). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. People’s Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Winner of the I. Stalin State Prize of the USSR. His works are in the museum of Ukraine they are exhibited on the sales and the western galleries. Also graphic artist. Active in Kyiv.
