These are vintage London’s Farm Dairy employee milk tokens (LOT OF 8) For Sale

These are vintage London’s Farm Dairy employee milk tokens (often referred to as milk chips or milk tallies) from Port Huron, Michigan.Historical Background & Purpose Internal Employee Perk / Allowance: London’s Farm Dairy provided their plant, route, and store workers with periodic milk allowances or discounted milk purchases as an employee benefit. "Employees Only" Marking: Unlike standard customer milk tokens, which usually display the company’s full logo or phone number to prevent counterfeiting by the public, these square plastic/celluloid tokens are explicitly stamped "LONDON EMPLOYEES ONLY" on the reverse side.  "1 Quart Homo": "Homo" stands for Homogenized Milk, which was standard labeling for dairy tokens mid-century (alongside Skim, Buttermilk, or Cream).  Counting & Distribution: Dairy office clerks would count out weekly or monthly token allotments for drivers and plant staff to redeem directly at the London's Dairy Bar or distribution dock.Item Details & Specifications Dimensions: Approximately 1 inch square (as shown next to the tape measure).  Material: Off-white/cream plastic (likely celluloid or early hard molded plastic). Front Stamp: GOOD FOR / 1 QUART / HOMO  Back Stamp: LONDON / EMPLOYEES ONLY
