The Student Vote 1972 Powerful Anti-War Poster
For 1st Time Voters.
17x22 inches. I would say it’s in excellent minus
condition but that’s just my opinion. Please
form your own opinion by looking at the photos.
The close-up photos are of sections where
there’s a flaw in the poster.
This is a voter registration drive poster published
by the Student Vote, an organization founded
in 1972 when the voting age was lowered to 18.
The goal of the Student Vote was to reach as
many students as possible during each election
cycle. This was one of a variety of these posters.
This particular photo is so chilling and haunting
to me— a dramatic anti-war statement.
What’s rare about this poster is that every one
I’ve seen has writing in the blank spot below
announcing a student meeting on a college
campus, but this one is blank and unused. I got
it in the George McGovern campaign
headquarters in Manhattan right after the
presidential election ended in ‘72.
