Here is a Flagstone / Honeycomb Opal. On one side there is a Flagstone pattern with one of the \"sheets\" or \"flakes\" measuring 11mm x 5mm (Extremely rare). That flake alone covers approximately 75% of face. This enormous flake resembles the state of Illinois hence the name. The colors are explosive. Warning! Looking at this opal in direct sun is dangerous. I recommend wearing a welding mask. On the opposite side there is a Honeycomb pattern. The entire opal is 12.7mm x 8.4mm x 3.8mm and 2.2cts. Truly one of a kind.
