For your consideration: As shown, an interesting pre-owned document: a telegram by the Postal Telegraph-Cable Company. From Washington D.C., September 1. No specific year is mentioned, but I am conservatively placing it to 1898 based on what I can find online that references the two names mentioned. Refer to the latter screenshots I have included.
