Needle Box Lid - Parts Only - MINT.. no signs of hinge on this 6” x 3.75”
Possibly the lid for a nested style box or cigar box. Right out of an arts & crafts / art nouveau era turn of the century : crafted for the person seeking wonderful artisan creativity … and the pine needle pattern was/is highly coveted ..
This antique lid has naturalized toning, slight oxidation providing a wonderful authentic expected patina on the bronze perimeter surround .. the under-glass is the caramel swirl (very popular) fragile slag piece ( no flaws, chips, crazing or cracked). The glass has the expected production lines/ swirls / dimensional natural glass flow & a teeny bubble totally intact - smaller than a pin head .
This piece of history is being sold as a parts piece , repair or a stand alone & framed .. back lit by natural glass..!!
The last two pictures are stock (not actually related to this Tiffany lid)~ just showing it in place from two options.. repairs or mounted solo .. great pine needle metal work with great glass showing thru !!!
