THE WALT DISNEY STUDIOS: Walt Disney Prod. Ltd., 1938 For Sale

THE WALT DISNEY STUDIOS: Walt Disney Prod. Ltd., 1938. Octavo gray wrappers, staple bound. Size: 9 by 6 inches. 31pp.: Pictorial endpapers. From the front free endpaper: “This book is a brief outline of the Studio’s principal departments and an explanation to artists of its employment policies.” An intriguing inside look at the organization and operation of the Disney studios at the time of the release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, their first animated feature film. This booklet was given to applicants for jobs as animators and contains an explanation of the testing (called “problems”) they would be given. An old handwritten note on the cover reads ,”This book is the test to enter Walt Disney Studios!” Scuffing at the spine. Loss at one corner of the cover, and light general wear. Contents clean. A very good copy of a rare pamphlet.
