We used to have a pretty solid run of THE MONSTER TIMES, but sadly sold them ages ago! We didn\'t recall that these stamps came from that fondly remembered publication and had to do some homework to even identify where these stamps came from! The sheet is approximately 8.5 x 11 inches. We can\'t find a sheet protector or pocket sheet that it will fit into, but we\'re going to try to get some acetate or something around it to keep it in this beautiful condition!
Google says the stamps were inserted in issue #11. We take tht with a grain of salt, several, in fact, because what we see of issue #11 online doesn\'t match up with Google\'s description. It said the cover is THE RETURN OF DRACULA and that there is an article on CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. Google Images displays a PLANET OF THE APES cover, and when you unfold the paper THE BEAST OF BLOOD is holding his head high above his head so he can get a better look at the goth band that is playing the club that night! At least, I think that\'s whey he\'s doing that. Or maybe it\'s just to impress the girls!
A lot of your favorite monsters, good and bad are here! You have Universal Monsters, Hammer Films monsters, AIP, Paul Blaisdell creations, Mexican monsters, Harryhausen and O\'Brien animonsters, THE OUTER LIMITS, and so on! Karloff, Lugosi, both Chaneys, Christopher Lee, Barrymore, Schreck, Charles Ogle, for God\'s sake! A virtual melting pot of monsters!
From our viewpoint, worrying about which issue the stamps came out can become the thing that keeps you up late at night!
All we know for sure is that we weren\'t able to find anybody else selling this stamp sheet on , past or present! It must be pretty rare!
