Will be shipped very securely and safely to arrive intact to your collection. These are almost impossible to find in any condition since they are mirrors and very early items released by American Greetings. Not only are they extremely fragile but not many people have them and many have been damaged or broken. Plum Puddin is a very hard to find character on anything , even harder to find on this item. I paid $250 for this mirror plus shipping from overseas. I am asking much leas than my investment.’it is in the same condition as when I purchased it.Don’t miss your chance to own your own!
Condition:
It is in nice vintage condition. The mirror is intact. The Strawberry Shortcake branding at the bottom left shows the date os MCMLXXI which would be 1971, that was way before Strawberry Shortcake franchise even existed, so it seems that the print missed an x at the end pitting it at exactly when American Greetings claims tonhave started Strawberry Shortcake. Thisnis from 1979z they call these carnival glass type mirrors. These came frames with a mirror over the too. Inside the mirror is a paper image on Plum Pudding. The reflecting part has a cur out within the mirror that allws the paper to show where the mirror film was left out. It guves it a sort of 3D effect. It is slightfaded from time. Top reads “Plum Puddin’ “. Bottom reads,”You’re the pick of the crop”
This is very early Strawberry Shortcake branded merchandise. The frame around the mirror needs to be sanded and repainted with gold metal paint. Right now it has a rusty rustic look that happened to match my steam punknstyle decor. You can leave like this or try to restore the frames gold look. Back of this mirror has a peice of tape stuck to it. I did not remove because this may damage the surface. You decide if you want to remove it. I bought it like this. It has a small loop to hang from. Above the loop is a hole from the nails that have indented the frame from handing in the wall. I have described everything I believe would be of importance to a collector. If I missed something please send me a message, i will do my best to help.
