Step back into the early days of home sunlamp therapy with this vintage Sun-Kraft Model A-1 ultraviolet sun lamp, complete with its original carrying case, instruction manual, paperwork, and protective goggles. Manufactured by Sun-Kraft, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois, USA, circa 1940s–1950s, this striking medical-style appliance features an adjustable chrome-finished lamp assembly on a streamlined metal base and was originally marketed for home ultraviolet light exposure. The lamp has been tested and the light turns on only when the adjustable lamp is positioned at a certain angle, indicating that the wiring or electrical components may require attention; due to its age, this piece may be good as parts or decor. One goggle lens is detached from the leather mask and may require adjustment.
