Description Summit Art Glass Co. Akron Ohio Signed V Mark Apple Green Iridescent Carnival Glass Owl \'N\' Stump AKA Owl in Tree Trunk 2 1/2\" Toothpick Holder 1922-1984
This one is in Excellent condition with No Chips No Cracks No Fleabites. Very nice Summit Carnival Glass Toothpick Holder. This is the Owl \'N\' Stump AKA Owl In Tree Trunk design with a Green Iridescent finish. Summit called this Apple Green. SEE PIctures for the 1982 price list from Summit. The details and iridescent color are strong. This has a Circle with a V Mark on the branch of the stump. The V is for Vogelsong the owner\'s Initial. In 1972, Russell Vogelsong and his wife JoAnn opened the Summit Art Glass Company in Akron, Ohio. They set about acquiring molds from various other companies including St. Clair, Westmoreland, Imperial, and Cambridge. Many small novelties, toothpicks, tumblers, etc, once made by others, were then made by Summit later from 1972 until the company closed in 2005. For more information on Summit Art Glass SEE Picture #8, #9 & #10. This measures 2 1/2\" High x 1 3/4\" Wide rim to rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Toothpick Holder.
