Stunning 1950 Singer 201k Sewing Machine Hand Crank & Motor Tested Sews Great!
This is a stunning 1950 Singer sewing machine model 201k. The serial number for this machine is EF728138 and it was made he Clydebank, Scotland (Great Britain) factory. The Singer 201 sewing machine, an amazing piece of post war engineering that represented the top of the line in sewing technology and remained a best seller for years to come. A beautiful machine that runs impeccably, it\'s no wonder the 201 is known as the \"Rolls Royce of Sewing Machines\", absolutely stunning!
This Singer 201k has been retrofitted with a new aftermarket hand crank and functions beautifully as one. Also included with this machine is a motor to use this 201 electrically. It is a 230-250 V motor that has been converted to 110 V, it has been bench tested and works perfectly.
We threaded the machine up and tested its sewing ability. It is smooth and sews a great stitch! This machine runs spectacularly with the hand crank and sews beautifully. We sewed the stitches as seen in our photos! The light works perfectly. The bobbin winder works great. The tension and stitch length knob were easy to adjust and operate correctly.
This machine is in beautiful vintage condition. The black enamel is shiny and bold. The decals and Singer insignia are near 100% intact and still bright, brilliant and absolutely beautiful! All nickel plated parts have been cleaned and polished to shine! Just look at that beautiful front plate and side plate, absolutely stunning. There is minor usage wear typical from sewing machines of this era. There is something about these antique machines and their beauty. Everything is as seen in photos.
This machine comes retrofitted with the new after market hand crank, the electric motor with the mount, screw to mount the motor and the belt. It comes with some attachments including presser feet and rufflers, screwdrivers, and 5 bobbins, one in the machine ready to go for you! All the accessories are packed away in the original green Singer attachment box.
