A small, intimate guinomi with bold diagonal carving through a rich chartreuse-gold Teadust glaze with dark speckle and warm rust streaking where the bare clay shows through the carving. The interplay between the carved surface and the glaze gives this piece a natural, almost organic quality — like rain on grass or light through bamboo.
Hand-built and carved by the artist Lin Kensington. Signed on the foot.
The wide unglazed foot ring is intentional and traditional, consistent with Japanese ceramic aesthetics.
A versatile little cup — equally at home for sake, tea, or espresso. Fits beautifully in the hand.
