This is a resin coated (RC) photograph that is unmounted and is 5½ x 3½ inches (140x90mm). It was printed around the 1990s from a 1961 negative.
It shows a steam locomotive on railway tracks next to a brick building and a water crane. The side of the locomotive bears the letters \"G N R\" and the front buffer beam shows the number \"1247\". A person is visible inside the driver\'s cab.
The reverse has handwritten text in blue ink reading \"68846 as 1247. Hatfield 17/6/61\". Additional numbers \"61 4 32\" are written in the bottom right corner.
