This is an early vintage Stanley block plane dating back to the late 1800\'s era, or a type 1. This is a GREAT piece for restoration!It has about 30% of it\'s original black Jappaning intact.The front knob is rosewood, solid no cracks. The cutter is sharp iron, with lots of stock left for feature use.This block plane features the large nickel plated cast iron thumb wheel for adjusting the cutter depth.7\" long bed x 1.62\" cutter width smooth plane, ready to restore or work condition.
