Stanley Bailey No. 4 Type 19 smooth plane dated 1948 to 1961 in very good condition. It has a 2” wide iron with the "BB" or notched rectangle trademark that has great length on a 9” bed. It has the sought-after features, the frog adjusting screw, large brass depth adjusting nut, and the lateral lever with disc. The tall knob and tote are void of any splits or repairs but have the usual tool box nicks and dings. With a honing of the iron and a quick lapping of the sole this will be a fine worker in the shop.We take planes apart for safer shipping.
