Lot of 2 medals with image of St. Gemma Galgani. Unknown vintage.
The medals are in good vintage condition with no snags or spotting. I believe both are made from aluminum, as they are very lightweight with no tarnishing.
The gold-color medal is inlaid with St Gemma\'s image on a small round steel-colored disc. The image and lettering are slightly raised, not flat. The back is textured, so it is very hard to see ITALY in raised letters at the bottom.
The silver color medal is actually bright silver, but appears darker in some of the pictures because of the lighting. It has St. Gemma\'s image (slightly raised) surrounded by light blue enamel. The back has ITALY in raised letters. This medal shows its age by slight pitting on the back.
