St. Louis Post Dispatch bound newspaper for October, 1938 Includes each newspaper from that month. Massive book, weighing 16.4 pounds and measuring 21" x 17" x 3". If you gave it legs, it would be a table. Quarter bound in tan cloth, the remaining exterior featuring brown marbling. Fair condition. There are several key pages missing, something I recently noticed while looking for specific ads. Most pages age toned. A handful of loose leaves. Some pages fragile, perhaps 15 torn out. Sturdy binding. Large, impressive and would make excellent gift. Easily contains 1500 vintage ads. Highlights include war news (Hitler/Germany) and a robust sports section, along crime, sports, etc. A somewhat hard to find bound periodical and an entertaining read. Book is akin to shipping a painting and unfortunately does not qualify for media mail; hence the shipping price. I will pack with care. Questions welcome.
