Spode Copeland "Florence" oval covered vegetable serving bowl with lid — a wonderful entertaining piece in the classic blue, white, and polychrome floral transferware pattern. The footed oval base and matching lid both feature the iconic Florence design: a central medallion ringed by Greek key bands, with a wide border of hand-tinted flowers and trailing vines. The lid is topped with a graceful arched handle.
Made in England by Spode Copeland, one of the most respected names in fine English china. Covered serving pieces in the Florence line are highly sought-after by collectors and entertainers — the lid keeps food warm at the table and the matching set adds an elegant, traditional note to any dining presentation.
Perfect for holiday meals, dinner parties, or any occasion that calls for an attractive way to serve potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, or rice. The piece mixes beautifully with Florence dinner plates, luncheon plates, and other serving pieces, and looks lovely paired with blue and white china or crisp white linen.
Condition: Excellent overall. No chips or cracks; the bowl looks barely used. Please note two small lines of crazing near the handle of the lid, visible on close inspection. Lid is included. Please see photos for additional details.
