Sperry 1960 Print Ad Packaged Early Warning Radar Tactical TEW MPS-21 For Sale

This original 1960 print advertisement features the Sperry Surface Armament Division\'s innovative Tactical Early Warning (TEW) radar system, model MPS-21, designed for the U.S. Marine Corps. The ad vividly illustrates the radar housed within an inflatable radome that can be quickly deployed and transported by land, sea, or air. The monochrome artwork highlights the radar\'s portability and rapid operational setup, emphasizing its ability to detect supersonic aircraft and missiles at both close and distant ranges. The ad text details the system\'s functionality, noting it requires minimal operator oversight and is designed to withstand harsh climates, making it a versatile and critical defense technology of its era. The Sperry branding and the mention of the Sperry Gyroscope Company, a division of Sperry Rand Corporation, anchor this collectible firmly in mid-20th century military technology history. A must-have for collectors of vintage military or technology advertising, this piece captures a unique moment in radar and defense for checking out this item.Check out the \"Seller Notes\" section for sizing information for the print advertisement. Please carefully view all of the photos for this listing - they are an important part of the description.
