Rare original Soviet military manual “Приемы нападения и самозащиты” (Attack and Self-Defense Techniques), published by the Ministry of Defense of the USSR in 1959. This official handbook was prepared by the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Ground Forces to train officers and sergeants in teaching soldiers close combat, offensive and defensive techniques.

The book provides detailed descriptions and richly illustrated black-and-white drawings of combat methods: strikes, throws, escapes from holds, strangulation defenses, disarming an armed opponent, knife defense, and techniques with rifle and pistol in hand-to-hand fighting. It was an essential Cold War-era manual for Soviet Army physical and combat training.

• Condition:The cover shows edge wear, rubbing, and creases, with spine reinforced; inner booklet stapled and intact. Pages display age toning, some small stains, and traces of use, but all text and illustrations remain clear and legible. The book block is complete, and all pages are firmly bound together, but the block has separated from the cover. I intentionally did not repair it to preserve the collectible authenticity of this edition. The new owner may choose to restore it if desired. This condition is clearly shown in the photos.
