Silverplate Muffineer Sugar Shaker Pierced Cap 4.5in Vintage For Sale

A silverplate muffineer — the classic sugar shaker (or caster) for dusting powdered sugar over muffins and pastries. Bulbous body, tall neck, and a pierced dome cap, 4.5 inches tall. The plastic stopper in the base is embossed with the letters S and I in squares. Freshly polished and bright.Condition, honestly: pitting and dark spotting remain in the plate, there are scratches from age and use, and greenish corrosion shows around the cap\'s piercings — all photographed close up, including the stopper. A single shaker, not a pair.
