Seth Thomas Violin Clock (1970s Licensed Limited Reproduction of the 1885 Original Issue)
I acquired this piece from the original owner who is now deceased. This beautiful recreation of the original 1885 issue is made of carved walnut in the shape of a violin (or viola) featuring decorative scroll work, applied trim, and a reverse-painted gilt glass tablet over the lower body.
Dimensions: Height 32", Width 13.5" , Depth 6". Part of original paper label on the back "Westminster".

Operation/Function/Movement: This clock was not re-produced with an operators manual but it clock functions identically to a standard American Antique 8-Day Spring-Driven Pendulum Clock. It does include the original winding key. The left hole is to adjust the chime. The right hole is to wind the clock. To start the clock, you need to manually gently push the pendulum to initiate the swinging motion. There are two photos of the movements behind the dial. I had to remove the pendulum to get close enough to take those photos. The cabinet back does not open for you to be able to see the movements from the back.
Condition:The cabinet, decorations, door, and inner works are all in excellent and fully functional condition. (See all photos which includes a video of the clock in operation). There is no damage to the body of the clock. It was recently polished using beeswax. I recommend Howard Feed N Wax.
This clock was last authenticated and inspected in 2015 by Arizona Certified Appraisal Group.
Shipping: This clock will be expertly packaged in a double thick box and shipped to value by UPS. The pendulum will be in a archival and bubble bag. It is very easy to reattach the pendulum. The winding key will be with the pendulum.
