Up for sale is a beautiful, complete vintage 4-piece set of authentic Tlaquepaque Mexican Pottery nesting bowls. Crafted from traditional terracotta redware clay, this mid-century set features the highly collectible scalloped "pie crust" crimped edges.
Each bowl is beautifully hand-thrown and hand-painted.
Because these pieces are entirely hand-crafted folk art, each bowl has its own unique, charming variations in shape, glaze thickness, and paint stroke details.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with beautiful glaze gloss and vibrant paint. As is typical with vintage Mexican redware of this age, there may be minor manufacturing imperfections, slight glaze pops, or tiny surface "flea bite" scuffs in bowl and along the brittle clay edges. No major structural cracks. Please review all photos closely as they serve as the primary description of condition.
Important Note for Buyers:
Due to the nature of mid-century glazes, it is not recommended for modern food service, cooking, or microwave use.
🎁BONUS 4th PIECE OPTION:
I originally acquired these as a 4-piece set, but the smallest matching baby bowl has a fine hairline crack. For safety, I am selling this formally as a set of 3 undamaged bowls. However, if you would like the 4th cracked piece included for free to use strictly as a display token or small plant holder, please send me a message right after purchase and I will happily securely wrap it and tuck it into the shipping box at no extra cost to you!
