Set of 2 Decorative Mid-20th Century Vintage Fragonard Limoges Style Porcelain W For Sale

Set of 2 Decorative Mid-20th Century Vintage Fragonard Limoges Style Porcelain Wall Medallions by E.A. Riba Co. Inc. Brooklyn NY These unique vintage medallions feature a romantic 18th-century pastoral scene inspired by classic European Rococo art. Each round medallion is made of the highest-quality porcelain and is set within an earth-toned velvet matting and surrounded by an octagonal ornate, antiqued, gold-toned solid brass frame with raised, textured detailing and an aged patina, and fitted with hanging loops attached on the back and ready to display. The porcelain medallions are delicately painted in soft pastel colors, in the classic Rococo style, inspired by the works of Jean-Honoré Fragonard, known for his graceful 18th-century courtship scenes. The name “Fragonard” appears as part of the design on the porcelain. These are vintage decorative pieces that were commonly produced during the mid-20th century (approx. 1950s–1970s) in a Rococo revival style, crafted with care and precision. They are a testament to the skill of the artisans who made them. The porcelain is fine and delicate, while the brass accents add a touch of elegance and sophistication. These plates are perfect for traditional or vintage-inspired interiors, for lovers of French country charm, shabby chic elegance, or romantic vintage wall art. They would make a great addition to any antique collection, and are sure to be a conversation starter. They are in excellent vintage condition with very light age-related wear.Porcelain diameter: 2” - Frame diameter: 4” - Weight: 1 lb
