Teacups are lined with iridescent peach/orange.

• 4x Matching Side / Dessert Plates
Specifications & Marks:

Condition Report:
This set is in excellent antique condition and all 12 pieces are fully structural and completely usable. There are 2 chips, as pictured one on dessert plate one on saucer, no cracks, no repairs. Because this set is nearly 100 years old, there is minor, expected age-related wear strictly within the glaze—including some light surface fading and minor storage scuffs. The dessert plates have the most glaze wear. The iridescent colors still catch the light beautifully.
Dimensions: Dessert plate 7 1/4” Diameter
Saucer 5 1/2” Diameter
Teacup 3 1/2” diameter

📜 Historical Significance Note for Collectors:
While many similar individual lusterware pieces on are mistakenly listed as mid-century "vintage," this set is a certified 100+ year-old antique. The minimalist black block-letter "MADE IN JAPAN" backstamp represents the immediate production response to the 1921 US McKinley Tariff Act update, which banned the previous "Nippon" designation. Furthermore, this set is uniquely configured in the traditional British 3-piece "Trio" setting (cup, saucer, and plate), which is highly uncommon for Japanese export porcelain of this era. Most original sets have been broken up over the generations, making this complete 4-place service exceptionally scarce.
Shipping & Handling:
This delicate porcelain set will be meticulously wrapped in heavy-duty bubble wrap and securely double-boxed to ensure safe transit to its new home.
