Up for sale is a beautiful vintage set of four (4) hand-painted Famille Rose porcelain bowls in the classic Rose Canton style, featuring the traditional Shou (寿 / 壽) Longevity symbol. Each bowl measures approximately 4.5 inches in diameter, making them the perfect size for small ramen portions, rice, side dishes, or decorative display.
Unlike many bowls from this mid-century time period the Greek scrollwork is not transferware it is hand-painted as well.
Origin: Stamped/marked \"Decorated in Hong Kong\" on the base.
History: These bowls have a wonderful time-capsule history—they have been safely wrapped and stored undisturbed in newspaper since 1966.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Because they were wrapped away for decades, the colors remain incredibly bright and fresh. No chips or cracks detected. As with all hand-decorated vintage porcelain, minor unique glaze imperfections or slight variations in the paintwork may be present, which adds to their authentic mid-century charm. Some wear on the edge rims
