This vibrant linen-era postcard showcases a stunning aerial-perspective illustration of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, looking eastward toward Oakland and Berkeley, California. The colorful artwork captures the bridge\'s iconic twin suspension spans stretching across the bay, with Yerba Buena Island visible at center where the two spans meet at their famous tunnel. Several naval vessels and a large passenger ferry are depicted navigating the waters below, adding wonderful period atmosphere. The East Bay hills rise in the warm background distance, with the cities of Oakland and Berkeley spread along the shoreline. This is card number 24 in the series, catalog number 24927, published by the Gilboy Agency of Oakland, California and printed by E.C. Kropp Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin — a well-regarded linen postcard printer of the era. The linen texture is clearly visible and the colors remain bold and vibrant, typical of quality Kropp production. The back carries descriptive text noting the bridge as \'longest of its kind in the world\' at the time of printing, placing this card firmly in the late 1930s shortly after the bridge\'s 1936 opening. Condition is Very Good. The card is unposted and has never been written upon. The front image is clean and bright with strong color saturation.
