This model is expertly hand-built by master craftsmen using the traditional plank-on-frame construction method, just like real ships. Made from fine woods such as rosewood, mahogany, teak, and other exotic varieties, each strip is carefully joined to create a smooth, beautifully varnished hull.
Every detail is handcrafted with precision, from the wooden bowsprit, foremast, mainmast, and mizzen mast to the fabric sails with hand-stitched rigging, all meticulously fastened by hand. The deck features wooden cabins, railings, lifeboats, and three rows of metal cannons on both sides of the hull. Additional highlights include metal ornaments, a wooden rudder, and a polished display stand with an engraved brass nameplate reading “San Felipe 1690”.
This model is built true to scale using original ship drawings and historical references, making it a perfect addition to any collector’s or maritime enthusiast’s display.
Historical Background
Launched in 1690, the San Felipe was the flagship of the Spanish Armada and one of the most powerful warships of her time. Weighing over 1,000 tons and armed with 96 cannons, she defended Spanish treasure routes and settlements against the British and French. In 1705, after a heroic 24-hour battle against 35 British ships, the San Felipe was captured but too damaged to be salvaged. She sank to the ocean floor with tons of gold, forever sealing her legend.

Shipping & Packing
Items will be processed and shipped within 3 business daysafter payment. Delivery via DHL or FedEx Ground (approximately 2–5 business days within the 48 states). Includes tracking number and full insurance coverage, we handle all claim processes.
Packing: All models are carefully packed using foam, bubble wrap, and double-boxing. Tall ships and large models are shipped in reinforced wooden crates for maximum protection.
Return Policy For Damaged or Defective Items:
Report any damage within 7 days of delivery with photo evidence. As each model is handmade, most minor damages can be easily repaired with super or wood glue. If the damage is fixable, we may request you to repair it to avoid further shipping damage. Replacement parts (if available) will be sent free of charge. If the item is deemed non-fixable, a replacement or full refund will be provided.
For Other Returns:
Contact us within 7 days of delivery for a Return Authorization (RA#). Items must be returned securely packed in their original packaging. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds are processed once the item is received in salable condition. Restocking fees apply; shipping costs are non-refundable.
