TUNED STANLEY No.3 SWEETHEART TYPE 15 SMOOTH SOLE PLANE 1931 - 1932
The type 13 is the 2nd installment of the sweetheart series. This plane is in very good condition with no cracks, repairs or pitting.
I’ve been restoring antique planes as a hobby now for about 5 years now. I’m not a pro, but I’ve been a carpenter for 22 years and I do my very best to restore these. All the basics were done: it’s sharp, tuned, clean, oiled, lapped etc. Otherwise the japanning on the bed of the plane was recoated with epoxy. The Rosewood tote & knob were sanded down and refinished with lacquer and wax.
