Silver mercury glass open salt cellar on a short pedestal base, c1850-1900. Plug is sealed with a cork and glass. There are no etchings on this salt. Similar to example in The Open Salt Compendium, figure 271. Measures 2 1/2\" in diameter and 2 1/4\" in height.
