This is a nice SET of GREETINGS postcards sent for BEST WISHES and FRIENDSHIP. The postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. Each of the postcards shows a PRETTY LADY in a photo style design standing and holding a letter / note. It has the theme of ROMANCE. The postcards show the same lady and in the same clothes. These are very attractive postcards with a colorful look. Also, they are a good example of the FASHION during the early 1900s. The postcards are Flat Printed. They have good detail, which makes them fun to look at and enjoy.These postcards are from the same publisher. They have Argentina stamps on the reverse side. These postcards were published in 1906. This could be a rare set given that there are four postcards and in good condition.
These are very good postcards to add to a collection. They wouldappeal to collectors because of their nice designs, how they capture the artistic style used in the early 1900s, and how they show a glimpse of life back then. These antique postcards are historical because they were published in the early 1900\'s, when postcards were what was being sent out for greetings to family and friends. The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (3) with handwritten dates of 1906. They have DIVIDED backs, but they are actually from the UNDIVIDED BACK era.
Postcards with UNDIVIDED BACKS were used from the 1901-1907 era.An undivided back is a good indicator of the age of the postcard and it has historical significance.During this time period, ONLY THE ADDRESS could be put on the back, and any written message had to be done on the front of the postcard.These types of postcards are collector items now because of their age, and because of the limited number of such postcards in existence today.Also, collectors like to own postcards that were published during the beginning years of the postcard hobby.
