This is a VERY NICE SET of BIRTHDAY postcards with the classic style and that was sent for BEST WISHES and FRIENDSHIP. The postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. The postcards are NOVELTY BIRTHDAY POSTCARDS and they are BOOKLETS that open up. These are very well made with DIE-CAST, pearl illumination, gold, etc. Overall, the postcards are nicely designed and have a colorful and attractive look to them.These postcards are EMBOSSED and they have STRONG GOLD trim in the design that enhances their beauty. These are from the publisher Barton & Spooner.

These postcards were made by Barton & Spooner who published between 1905-1915.They were well regarded publishers of commercial art material, calendars, maps, and postcards.Their logo is a B and S in a circle.They initially published in Germany and then due to World War I, they later published in New York.They were a large and respected publisher during the “Golden Age of Postcards” (1908-1915 era).They published landscapes, comic and humor, children, Dutch children, and other types of nice postcards.Their material is sought after by collectors.

In the early 1900\'s, postcards were what was sent to friends and family to wish them well. Hallmark Cards were not yet on the market with their cards in envelopes. The first cards Hallmark Cards developed were their Christmas Cards in 1915. People during the early part of the 1900\'s only had postcards to use to send their greetings messages. These GREETINGS postcards have now become collector items.

These are good postcards to add to a collection because of their attractive nature. They wouldappeal to Birthday collectors because of their nice designs, how they capture the artistic style used back in the early 1900s, and because they give you a glimpse of life back then. They have good detail that makes them a pleasure to look at. Overall, this is a niceselection of Birthday postcards at a reasonable price.

The postcards are UNPOSTED and would have been published in the 1910 era. These were \"Printed in Germany\" during the \"Golden Age of Postcards\" (1908-1915). They have DIVIDED backs.
