A beautiful vintage Royal Doulton “Flower Seller’s Children” (HN 1342) figurine designed by renowned Royal Doulton artist Leslie Harradine. This touching scene depicts two young flower sellers seated together on a bench with overflowing baskets of hand-painted flowers in vibrant shades of red, yellow, blue, purple, and green.
This example features the desirable early green Royal Doulton backstamp along with the handwritten script title “Flower Seller’s Children,” characteristics associated with earlier production pieces. The fine floral modeling and rich hand-painted colors make this one of the most attractive figures in Royal Doulton’s Street Vendor series. The model was introduced in 1929 and remained in production for many years, with earlier examples especially appreciated by collectors.
The numerous individually sculpted flowers remain remarkably well preserved, giving the piece exceptional display appeal.
