This is a new tobacco pipe made from a bit of vintage cherry red bakelite...repurposed from a 1960s cake knife.
Edgy and bold, the mid century atomic design of the pipe body contrasts nicely with the live-edge African rosewood driftwood bowl. A vintage, NOS vulcanite mouthpiece pulls everything together for a sleek finish. See the photos for a "Before" image of the amazing piece of aged hardwood that prompted the making of this pipe. A fortunate beach find for certain.
It may sound silly, but I think this pipe turned out looking really sexy. Lots of lines, lots of textures...this smoking tool seems like it wants to be moving. It definitely wants to be smoked.
