This listing includes one originalhand-painted production cel used during the creation of the anime. Theartwork captures Rally Vincent changing clothes, making it one of the memorablecharacter scenes from this classic OVA.
Produced by AIC and released in 1989,Riding Bean consists of only a single OVA episode. Because the animationwas never produced as a full television series, the total number of originalproduction cels is significantly smaller than that of long-running anime,making authentic production artwork increasingly difficult to obtain.
This version of Rally Vincent isalso historically significant as the original blonde character who laterevolved into the Rally Vincent featured in Gunsmith Cats. Riding Bean iswidely regarded as the prototype work that established many of the characters,setting, and action style later developed in Gunsmith Cats.
The original character designs were createdby Kenichi Sonoda, internationally recognized for his detailedmechanical illustrations, automobiles, firearms, and expressive characterartwork. Original production materials from his early animation works arehighly sought after by collectors worldwide.

Good vintage condition for an originalproduction animation cel.
As this cel was used during the originalanimation production process, it shows typical production-related wear,including staple holes, light surface scuffs, and minor handling marks.
Because the character is painted withrelatively light colors, the reverse side was painted black during productionto reduce light transmission while filming. Traces of the original animationpaper that was once attached to the reverse side remain visible.
The black backing paint remains stable withno peeling or cracking observed.
A slight vinegar odor is present,indicating the early stages of cellulose acetate aging. As a preventiveconservation measure, the cel has been carefully air-dried and stored togetherwith SIGLO, a professional preservation product developed forphotographic and motion-picture film archives. SIGLO is designed to absorb anddecompose acetic acid gas while also helping regulate moisture inside enclosedstorage, reducing the progression of vinegar syndrome during long-termpreservation. A fresh SIGLO packet will be included with this item.
The cel sheet remains flat with nonoticeable warping.
The original matching animation drawing is notincluded.
As shown in the photographs, theoriginal black trace lines have begun to fade, which is a commoncharacteristic of vintage animation cels from this period.
