This Retro Modern Art Glass Sommerso Geode Bowl is a hand-blown, one-of-a-kind piece featuring trapped air bubbles. The bowl, made of aqua green and blue glass, has a glossy finish and a round shape with a diameter of 5 inches. Standing at 3.5 inches tall, this unique bowl is perfect for all occasions and is sure to add a modern and retro touch to any collection or kitchen decor. Hand wash only to preserve its original beauty, this piece was crafted in the United States during the late 20th century.
The origin of this bowl is unknown , although it was found in the united states. The bowl is not signed. My inclination is that it\'s scandinavian , but I could be wrong. There are characteristics on the bowl, which lend it to be made by hand. There are horizontal striations from most likely being spun while being blown.
The base is highly polished , and there is minimal shelf , wear consistently throughout the surfaces of the bowl.
There are two unique trapped air bubbles underneath on the bottom side , which adds a very nice detail and is very pleasing to look at. The bowl is 5 inches in diameter and stands 3-1/2\" tall. I see no chips , obvious scratches or flea bites on this. This is not signed.
