This is a new quality reproduction cast double bracket lamp hinge. This is the part that you screw into the wall and the rest of your lamp bracket slips in and hangs from ONLY you are able to use 2 bracket arms from 1 hinge. You see a lot of the old antique brackets for sale but they can be missing this piece. 5" tall and about 2" wide. Hole for your bracket to slide into is about 3/8" wide . You can get the full understanding by looking at photo number 3 , instead of one lamp bracket like shown in the picture, you can hang TWO!.
