Rare antique non-sweating adlake railroad 4-way lamp working!.
Chicago made vintage early 1900s adlake railroad lamp
I believe this was converted from oil to electricity a while back. These lamps were used to direct trains, they were lite by hand by railroad attendants. The light bulb inside does work.I saw no cracks in the power cord.
There appears to be one part missing. One of the holes seems to missing some part. I’m not sure exactly what that is. My guess is that it was oil related. There maybe other parts missing that use to be part of the oil lighting system.
There is a crack in the blue lens. It doesn’t affect the light coming out. With some paint chipping and other signs of aging for this over a hundred year old lamp, it’s in good shape. Made out of mostly cast iron this will last another hundred years.
