The airline filled a critical regional niche by providing budget-friendly passenger routes connecting high-density mid-Atlantic and southeastern metropolitan hubs like Pittsburgh and Philadelphia directly to holiday tourist destinations in Florida, later shifting into a premier scheduled and ad-hoc corporate charter network before compounding economic pressures forced its permanent shutdown in 1999. To handle its localized flight schedules, navigate dense East Coast terminal airspaces, and maximize turn times, Nations Air Express operated a highly streamlined, rugged fleet composed across its brief history of classic Boeing 727-200 and workhorse twin-engine Boeing 737-200 jetliners.
The wings are in very good condition, but do have some surface scratches. Please see photos for condition.
These wings came from NASA associate Director Daniel Nebrig’s estate and will Include a copy of the provenance card that the family and estate company made for these historic pieces. He owned the largest military medal, military pilot wings, military patches, and commercial pilot wings collection I have ever seen.
