This loose insert card has been explicitly hand-dated by a mid-century American traveler: "Wien, am 17. Februar 1963."The original American diner used the margins of the loose insert sheet to document their Viennese culinary adventure in ink, creating a spectacular piece of social travel history. The handwritten notes include:
• A currency exchange breakdown at the top: "25 Schillings to $1.00"
• Comedic commentary on the language barrier: "Many places have English menus—this is more literate than most which are very funny."
