This classic piece features the famous ornate insect/beetle design and was hand-cast using VMC’s traditional sand-molding process in Waynesboro, Virginia. The underside is clearly stamped with the official intertwined "VM" circle hallmark and the original factory design catalog number 10-2.
These were used as a convenient, hands-free tool to pull off tight, muddy, or wet boots without having to bend over or strain your back.
They were especially popular in households where people wore tall leather riding boots, heavy work boots, or cowboy boots, which can be incredibly difficult to slip off the heel by hand.
In good condition, has original patina.
